Movement and function

Physiotherapy

Restoring mobility, strength and confidence in how you move, with a plan built around your day rather than a generic protocol.

What this looks like here.

A physiotherapist treats injuries and conditions that get in the way of movement. That means working on pain, balance, mobility and motor control, and doing it in a way that takes the whole person into account rather than one joint in isolation.

Our physiotherapists aim to restore functional mobility and strength, make daily activities easier, help you manage or reduce pain, and get you back to a more active routine. They are involved at every stage: preventing problems, treating them when they appear, and rehabilitating afterwards.

The team holds certifications in dry needling, kinesiology taping, spinal manual therapy, the Mulligan concept, IASTM, lymphoedema therapy, vestibular and BPPV rehabilitation, and concussion management through World Rugby.

  • Assessment of how you actually move
  • Hands-on manual therapy and dry needling
  • Graded exercise you can keep doing at home
  • Home care visits available

Good to know

Questions about this care.

Can a physiotherapist come to me at home?

Yes. Home care visits run for 50 minutes and are charged at 50 BD, with a six session package available at 240 BD. They are worth considering if travelling to the clinic is part of what is difficult right now.

How is physiotherapy different from chiropractic here?

Physiotherapy leans toward graded loading, exercise and functional retraining, while chiropractic leans toward restoring movement at a specific joint. At InTouch the two teams work in the same building on the same plan, so the question is usually which to start with rather than which to choose.
